EDEN ST
This home has created a safe, well protected outdoor area for young children. All living spaces have a northern outlook and linked to a private garden.
We strove to maintain as much of the awkward existing layout as best we could whilst the extended areas of master bedroom, dining area and garage are simple geometric forms, that gently puncture the existing building shell.
The existing building is re-roofed, rendered and painted and the extended areas clad in timber & all internal areas revived. The forms and cladding selection of the new forms deliberately, yet delicately contrast against the existing dwelling. What our clients say:We engaged Ricky to design an extensive renovation to our 1960’s brick home. With an existing awkward layout we asked for a family orientated renovation with a contemporary feel. Ricky delivered a design which exceeded our expectations. Ricky was enthusiastic and professional throughout our project. His attention to detail was fantastic as was his ability to work within our budget without compromising on the features of the renovation we felt were most important to us. He was extremely receptive to our needs and ideas and willingly made himself available for questions and advice – often after hours and during weekends. His continuing support throughout the tender and construction phases of our project was invaluable and ensured any construction complications were dealt with quickly and with a sympathetic eye for the final design. Ricky came up with a creative and innovative design for our renovation which allowed us to retain the original features we loved while making room for the contemporary functionally we required. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ricky’s services for a renovation or new-build. Katie and Stephen - Melbourne 2018
